This is a Hokkaido-made black rice which was nicely cultivated with fewer agrochemicals and fertilizer, keeping a high quality by a contracted farmer of Hokkaido. A black rice has higher nutrition than white rice, and it is said to be an old-style red rice. The purple rice is very healthy, sumptuously containing anti-oxidative polyphenol and anthocyanin. Just adding 5~10 % of "KITANOMURASAKI" into a regular white rice makes a sticky and delicious rice.

How to serve:


How to cook delicious rice: combine rinsed white rice and 10 % of rinsed black rice (50g for 3Go of rice <450g>) with a pinch of natural salt, and cook with a regular amount of water. Purple-colored rice will be ready.


Porridge with black rice: It is delicious to make porridge with 100% of black rice. Adjust the amount of water depending on your preference (approx. 4~10 times). When boiled, lower the heat and cook for more than 30 minutes without fluffing. Be careful of boiling over with a lid. Add some salt as you prefer. (Porridge with 10% of black rice, combining with white rice is also delicious.)


Chicken Porridge with black rice:


1) The ratio of black and white rice is 1 to 9. Cook slowly with stock soup (10 times of black rice), sake, soy sauce, salt, small sized chicken thigh, shiitake mushroom, and carrot.


2) When cooked nice and juicy, adjust the flavor with salt, and add soft scrambled egg with Japanese honewort.


Mixed rice with black rice


1) Mix black and white rice with the ratio of 1 to 9, and soak it for approx. 2 hours.


2) Cook small sized chicken thigh, soaked dried shiitake mushroom, carrot, shaved burdock, deep-fried bean curd, and konjac with rice, soy sauce, sake, salt, and stock soup (2 times of rice).


Caution:


Seal tight and consume immediately after opening.


Do not leave for a long time even though it is not opened.

Avoid strong scent and high humidity 


How to store:


Store at room temperature when vacuum-packed. Frozen allowed.
